Tonight we had a preview of our newest documentary production «Chaebol and Chabolas – The struggle for work» at the Volkshaus – presented by the directors of the film David Syz and Christian Neu. In their new film Chaebols & Chabolas David Syz and Christian show unexpected aspects of unemployment.  In Spain they visit illegal immigrants, who find themselves trapped in their simple huts, made out of trash (chabolas), because the desperate spanish population starts to take over their jobs in the greenhouses.

In South Korea they get to know a society in which achievement and success means everything. If you don’t get a job in one of the big enterprises  (chaebols) you’re facing social rejection and isolation. What price is a society willing to pay for its wealth?

Theatrical release of this film will be in spring 2015.
